Project Night Night Quilt Challenge
Inspired by many memories of my mom reaching out to comfort children of all ages, I've decided to host a Quilt Challenge to Benefit Project Night Night. It's an organization that provides homeless children with a tote bag with a security blanket (quilt), a book and a stuffed animal, inside a new canvas tote bag. By providing these objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children they serve.
Participation in the Quilt Challenge is simple - just sew a handmade quilt, crib size or smaller, and send it to me by December 1st. I'll collect as many quilts as we can make, and donate them to Project Night Night. Use any pattern you like. Size should be 28" x 52" or smaller.
If you want to join our little group, just send me an email: quiltedcupcake@gmail.com and I'll send you all the details, including shipping info., etc.
I've started a Flickr group to host photos of the quilts we make. Here's the link.
Thanks in advance to everyone who joins!
Jean
