Two Finished Quilts

OK, to be fair, one was finished a while ago, and one yesterday.

The Funky Fun Quilt (on the top) is based on a Kaffe Fassett design. It was the first non-wallhanging quilt I made. It's more or less a lap quilt. I did it as a test of my quilting skills, and it convinced me for the need for a better machine or system for free motion. It was like wrestling with an alligator to get it quilted on my Kenmore. In fact, I hadn't done another fuller sized quilt since this one because of the problems I had.

Now, with the Singer 201, I was able to finish my Jelly Roll Wee Play quilt. I just love American Jane fabric - it's so fun and colorful. I started it on the Kenmore, then put it on "time out" when I got so frustrated with it. Flash forward, and I was able to finish it in 2 days with my new old friend.

Now, I'm working on finishing my Tossed Nine Patch.
Hoping for a quilty weekend...

I love the Wee Play quilt! The colors are wonderful.
I have a Kenmore sewing machine too and now I'm looking for old (new to me) Singers at the flea markets. The space looks wonderful.
