Focus on Embroidery

I've been working on several new embroidery projects.  There are several people who scan and post images no longer covered by trademark (i.e., they're vintage) and others who create images for sharing.  So, thought I'd take a moment to share some of my favorite patterns from Flickr.  Click on the links to see them bigger, and to download.

Several folks on Flickr have created some amazing work with this image, posted by Brian Campbell.

One of my favorite contributors is Doe-C-Doe, who created this vintage-inspired design.

This Awesome Kit Kat Clock pattern was made by Jacque Davis.  The Flickr post also has links to several other great resources.

For anyone who thinks they can't embroider, it's so not true.  If I can do it, you can do it!

Oooh, I like that first one you've got posted! I'm a knitter and simple-quilter, but I haven't done embroidery. I do have a Sublime Stitching book and plenty of thread around so I don't know what's stopping me. Maybe that'll be tonight's TV project.

Go for it, Speckled Dog! Check out some of the samples of the completed projects on Flickr - they're beautiful. Plus, you can make it as easy or hard as you like!

I do love embroidery. I haven't done it in years though. Maybe I'll start back up once I get quilting down better.
