Love this Spiderweb block, posted by PinkPlease on Flickr. It was designed using a tutorial by one of my favorites, Elizabeth Hartman (Oh Fransson). You can find the tutorial at Sew Mama Sew. I can't wait to try it.
Thanks for the inspiration, PinkPlease! Great colors, and a great design = yummy eye candy!
Wow! Thanks so much for featuring my block for Sarah! You rock!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great block! I might try it in scrappy colors with yellow stars.
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS LOVED THIS PATTERN... I have seen it on one of the string (BONNIE HUNT .... et All) quilt blogs under the title of RED ZINGER.
ReplyDeleteI have made it in the past using my red fabric as the "foundation." and using up as much of my UGLY / OLDER strings as I could. It always came out GREAT. I have seen directions doing regular flip and sew without foundation, using the main fabric as a foundation, and using pellon as a foundation. I guess you can do it any way you want.
I love the modern colors as it make it so bright, contemporary and girly. I now know where and how to use my strings left over from my contemporary fabrics.
Thanks for the post/ blogs and podcast ... I always love them.
