My first new Halloween project of the year is a Log Cabin pumpkin wall quilt.
I love all the fun Halloween fabrics that Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores offer each year - I paired some of my favorites with orange prints to create the base for this pumpkin mini-quilt - it's a simple courthouse steps-style log cabin block at its base. I added half-square triangles to the corners, along with raw-edge applique accents, and the pumpkin came to life! My favorite part may be the candy corn fabric on the binding!
This one is a wall quilt, but if you used wider strips and kept building the courthouse steps, it could be a great pumpkin throw quilt. Just scale up the accents.
