I went to the PA National Quilt Extravaganza XVI yesterday - whew, what a day - I'll cover it on my next podcast (9/27). I couldn't wait to post pictures of my favorite quilt- called Sunbonnet Sue Does Hollywood. It's so incredibly clever, and had everyone talking. Can't believe it didn't win a ribbon! Everyone was picking out their favorite scenes. I posted some closeups of my favorites, Seven Year Itch and Titanic - who knew Sue got around so?
The quilt is by an artist named Linda Cantrell from Fletcher, NC. If anyone knows her, please send her my email address(quiltedcupcake@gmail.com). I want to interview her for the podcast - I'd love to hear about her design process. In the meantime, thank you, Linda, for your incredible work!

Hi Jean...I was there yesterday too! I wish I had known, we could have had a meet up. I also thought the Sun Bonnet Sue movie quilt was amazing. How very, very clever & really good workmanship too.

We were there too, yesterday, and my daughter and I LOVED Sun Bonnet Sue Does Hollywood! More than clever idea, wonderful workmanship, fabulous quilt! Linda Cantrell got cheated out of a ribbon - hope she wins viewers' choice anyway.
