Even this much snow.....
Doesn't explain this much butter...
Even though we're in the midst of a record blizzard here in Maryland, I can't blame that on the amount of butter and margarine pictured above. It pre-dates the predicted storm and last-minute stock up.
When I cleaned out the fridge this week, I was shocked to find this amount of butter products. It was like the fridge was a clown car - the sticks just kept coming. I've never owned this much butter at one time - could be enough to last the rest of the year. Unless I start serving butter soup for dinner. (hmm.. wonder if anyone has a recipe?) I think the reason for this mass quantity is that my local grocery store had a sale, combined with the recent holidays, when apparently I thought I would do way more baking than I did.
Thought you all might find this as amusing as I did (or, I've lost you all forever). In case you're still with me and are wondering, yes, I counted, there are 30 sticks/bowls of butter there.
Going down to record the podcast now. Planing to update with photos, etc. tomorrow.

Yes it does ! there is always room for more BUTTER :-) love your podcast too.. just found it a day or so ago.. We live in Iowa.. and I AM SO GLAD YOU are getting the blizzard rather then us.. we have had more then our share this year ! thankfully the 5 inches that fell yesterday is trying to melt . LOL
Thank you for the picture of the snow, misery loves company, where I live in Knoxville MD. we got almost 34 inches, OMG, will I ever get out, will they ever plow my road? As for the butter I think I have at least 6 or more pounds in the freezer, I guess I didn't bake quite as much as I had planned for the holidays, but I am sure I may use some of it if this snow doesnt melt soon, and there is always pancakes with lots of butter.I again thank you for sharing, have a great week....
Too funny!! Thanks for a good laugh!
That's funny! But did you know, you can freeze the real stuff (butter) and it keeps fine? I do that when there is a sale.
i think you are channeling Paula Deen with all that butter....
Glad it wasn't in my fridge, we've been powerless for 3 days!! Good ol' country livin!!
