We have a winner!

Amy, you're the winner of the podcast sign-off contest, as judged by me and the hubby.  So, my new sign off will be "Remember, Your Creativity is the Icing on the Cupcake"  Amy, please send me an email - (quiltedcupcake@gmail.com) with your mailing address, so I can send you a surprise!

Who couldn't love a sign-off that references frosting?

Thanks to everyone who entered, they were all really good suggestions -- you guys rock!

BTW, headed to Las Vegas tomorrow, so not sure if I'll have time to blog next week.  We'll see....could make for some interesting posts.  Anyone have any suggestions for places I should visit?  Any great fabric stores on The Strip :)?

No quilt shops on the strip but take a taxi out to Henderson (not far) and visit Quiltique. You won't regret it!! from lizzie in the UK

Oh, I wish I could remember the name, but if you check past issues of the Quilt Sampler magazine I know they featured a shop in Nevada that I'm pretty sure was close to Las Vagas.

There are no shops on the strip but we have couple close. As mentioned, Quiltique is in Henderson. It is pretty nice and has a lot of selection. But closer is the Christmas Goose. It is my FAVORITE shop in LV. It is on Durango. Check out their shop at christmasgoose.com.

No fabric shops on the strip. We have 3 quilt shops and all are worth visiting ... Quiltique in Henderson, the Christmas Goose on Durango and Fabric Boutique on Charleston. Have a great trip! Enjoy!!

I have been to Fabric Boutique - a really great shop. I LOVE the spa at the Luxor - it is an experience from the moment you walk in. The Mirage has a small zoo that was really cool - the animals are behind chain link but the paths go right next to the fence, you could reach out and touch the tigers, if the guards weren't there. The free show in front of The Pirate's cove is cool. The Belagio puts on great art exhibits and the best buffet really is at Ceaser's. Be sure to check out all the free stuff available - have fun!

I have been to most all of the shops listed and they were all great! None actually on the Strip ;-)

I plan to do a quilt tour the next time I'm in Las Vegas.

Also, Nancy's Quilt Shop is closing out and this is the last week of their sale. I never made it there, but it looked Great in the Quilt Sampler magazine a couple of years ago.

Have fun!
