I found this cool metal owl at a thrift store. I think it was a kitchen trivet from the last time owls were trendy. Yikes- can avocado-colored kitchen appliances be far behind?
BTW, do you know about the Benjamin Moore Color Capture application? It's a free little ap that lets you snap a picture of a color inspiration that catches your eye and you can instantly find its match from Benjamin Moore's more than 3,300 paint colors.
Also, still working on the next QuiltedCupcake podcast - just have lots happening in my "real" work life, including some out-of-town travel. I'll post here, on FB and Twitter when the next show is posted.

I love him the metallic that he is.
I also like him the way he is. However, he could be really cute sporting a coat of teal paint!

How about orange? It would stand out with all the teal.
Black would look great with your current colors and the teal you are thinking about.
I'm also going to suggest he's super sweet as-is, but failing that, you could maybe go for something like this? http://i.imgur.com/gBp0N.jpg*
Of course, this may just be my want to make everything harder than it is. I'm sure any single color would be fine! Maybe only the red? Thought the teal is a nice contrast color....

I was going for solid red. Love him, reminds me of my rockin' youth.
With the color of your kitchen I'd paint him Aqua!
Thank you for all your inspiration! I just found your podcast and have really loved and enjoyed them so much! Thanks for sharing your creative juices and ideas!
Cool find! It is hard to suggest a color without seeing the kitchen. Another idea would be to paint the owl the color of your appliances for a great accent! ~Val
Could use the owl as a stencil or stamp.
Hi! I listen to your podcast and was just browsing through some of your past posts. I have this exact same owl on the wall in my kitchen, along with another similar one. I left mine silver. They both polished up great with a little silver polish. What did you end up doing with yours?
