Christmas Wrapping Ideas and a Secret Source!

I love wrapping Christmas presents.  Seriously, I'd work at Macy's for free in their gift wrap dept. if I had the time.   This year, I'm using free printable tags from various blogs to dress up my presents.  Especially for people who'll appreciate the extra handmade touch.  I love how Christmas gifts look in kraft paper.

Here's a sample of some of my packages:

The best part is that I discovered a SECRET source via a favorite blog of mine called Shanty 2 Chic.  The secret is Builders Paper and/or Masking Paper from Home Depot, and it saves a lot of cookie dough.  Much less expensive than "regular" gift wrap.  And, you can dress up your packages with bits of ribbon, yarn and other goodies from your craft studio!

The Builders Paper, which the Shanty 2 Chic girls use, is $10, and it's HUGE!  I also picked up the smaller roll of "Masking Paper" for $2.47 - it's perfect for smaller packages.  You'll find it in Home Depot's Paint department.

Or, if you're like me, you can get a kick out of asking the employees where to find it, and explain that you're going to wrap gifts with it.  The very nice gentleman who helped me out on Sunday was very impressed with the idea!

Don't these adorable gift tags make you want to start wrapping?

Here are links to the Free printable tags I used.  You can find more links on my Christmas Ideas Pinterest board.

Nellie Design  for the cute red and aqua.

Shanty2Chic for the vintage looking tags

Wild Olive has a cute set too.

So, have you started you Christmas wrapping yet?   If not, when do you start?
