Chalk Paint® Decorative paint by Annie Sloan Project: Before

My bedroom furniture is OLD.  Not antique, just old and needs a refreshing.  It's about to get an Extreme Makeover with the help of Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan.  I'm going for a shabby chic look, and so I'm planning to use the Cream  color, along with Clear Soft Wax mixed with the dark wax.

Annie has a great book called Color Recipes for Painted Furniture with instruction and inspiration for a variety of projects.  I love her approach and the whole idea behind this paint technique - no prep, no pre-sanding.  Woo hoo!

You can check out the Unfolded website to find a retailer near you, or to order the products online. You can also follow this Pinterest board for tons of great ideas, tutorials, etc.

Here's what my furniture looks like now.  As you can see, the shabby part I already have - now to add the chic!  I can't wait to get started on it!

I'll keep you up to date on the progress - my hope is to have it done by Labor Day.

Has anyone used Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan?  I'd love to hear about your experiences!

Disclosure: Please note: I was NOT financially compensated for this post.  I received  supplies for review purposes.  As with all content on my blog, the above project and comments are completely my own, based on my own experience.

Jean,
Funny that you should post about Annie Sloan. I just did a post about it too last week. If you check out my blog, you will see a pic of a nightstand I just did.

Can't wait to see it. Stain/wax scares me.
