Large Knitting Needle Holder - Waverize It!

I've been making smaller knitting needle cases for a long time, starting with one for myself.  They've been great for double pointed needles and crochet hooks, but not quite long enough for larger 14 inch knitting needles.

So, when I had the chance to sample some home dec-weight Waverly fabric from Joann, I decided the extra stability would be just what I needed to create a larger version of my original design.

I love how the mega knitting needle case turned out!  It's nice and sturdy, and the modern print is cool, too.

It's also very secure - the top flap holds the needles in place, and the ribbon tie keeps everything neat.  I plan to make some more of this design for my Etsy shop.

Want to Waverize a project yourself?  Click below to check out the contest Joann and Waverly fabrics is sponsoring - you could win lots of cool prizes.  It's all to celebrate Waverly's 90th Anniversary.

You can also find out more on the contest Facebook page.

Can you think of some creative ways to use home dec weight fabric?

Very nice. I like using the longer needles myself. This looks like a great project.
