My New Little House

No, I'm not moving, but if I could have when I was little, I would have lived here:
I found this cool Fisher Price house at Goodwill this weekend, for only $10 - it's marked with 1969 as the date of manufacture.  Not in bad shape for a toy that's over 40 years old - it mostly needed cleaning.  I have fond memories of sitting with my own version of this house, playing with my sister, making up stories and moving the people from room to room.  The best part is the accessories that came with it:
I adore the playpen, and the cradle.  Mom and Dad also have chairs, and a nice car in the garage.

What did you play with as a child?  Anyone remember Weebles?  I haven't found them in my thrifting expeditions, and I've wondered why.  Maybe they weren't as popular?

Ooohh! I had one of those!!! You are sooo lucky to find one nowadays, and with all the pieces too!! I also played with Weebles. I had the treehouse. And I loved it! I have seen them selling on ebay, but never in any store. Well, not the old ones anyway. They took them off the market for years because they were a choking hazard, apparently. I can't for the life of me imagine trying to swallow one but, oh well. Some kids will try anything I guess. The Weebles they have now are so different you might not recognize them as being Weebles. And they are very hard to find in stores. My daughter has a couple, and they are about 5 times bigger than ours ever were!! She seems to like them though...

you are younger than me! But my little brothers had all the FP people & houses, barns, etc & (shhh don't tell) I used to love to play with them too! A couple years ago I found a Chrissy doll online, just like the one I had when I was little & she had all her clothes, shoes, everything, & her hair still grows... I bought her, couldn't resist. She sits on my bookshelf now & watches me sew...

I'm almost uh, 30....and I too had this set. In fact, my grandma just got rid of it about 3 years ago. I'm a few counties away, so I don't believe that one is my old one, but ya never kow ;o)
