Lancaster Quilt Shopping

My sisters and I went to the Lancaster quilt shops this week, and came back with a ton of goodies.  This is just the fabric pile! I also got a few new notions, including DMC Pearl cotton in a multitude of colors.  The local stores here only carry white, black and cream.  There is a whole rainbow of colors available!  Who knew?  Well, I guess the ladies who shop at Zook's did!

Thanks to everyone who's already sent me a note to tell me they're going to join me in the Quilted Cupcake Project Night Night Challenge.  I'm working on a set of instructions, which I'll be sending out next week.  In the meantime, for more info., see the tab I added above.

And, if you're looking for the book giveaway post, just scroll down a bit - still time to enter.  I'm not choosing a winner until 9/24.

Looks like you had a great shopping trip. Can't wait to see what your Challenge is. Will we get a podcast about it.

Oh yes, Zook's. Don't you just love the trouble you can get into in Lancaster!

I dragged my family into a few quilt shops including Zooks. When I left there all I could think about was how I would love to be Amish and get a chance to quilt in a big quilting bee...love Lancaster!!!

I drove up to Zook's and Sauder's last week. :) I almost didn't bother going to Sauder's but was glad I did. Lucked out that it was Truck Load Sale Day. Woo Hoo! :)

I was in Lancaster from Thursday - Sunday for our Girls Weekend. We do Lancaster in the Fall and Spring and Holmes County (only an hour from us) in the Winter. I visited all the same places you had suggested for our summer trip and also stopped at the Log Cabin Quilt Shop. I adore Zooks, especially Becky - the older Amish woman at the cutting counter. I think you should write a traveling companion for quilters in Lancaster:)
