Easy House Mini Quilt

Raw edge applique is the easiest of all the techniques.  I love the wonkiness.  I made this "Home" wall quilt for my sister's birthday.

It was inspired by a photo in a magazine, but I don't remember which (sorry).  The technique couldn't be easier - put some Fusible interfacing on fabric, cut out shapes, iron them on and then outline in black thread.

I learned alot about this technique from a book by Poppy Treffy called Free & Easy Stitch Style.  It's very liberating!

p.s. Thanks for all the well wishes while I was sick.  The flu really kicked my butt this year.  And I even had a flu shot.

This is super cute! So colorful! I have a goal this year to buy a little quilt panel stand for hanging small quilts on. I saw it in the Fons and Porter magazine. Then I want to make small holiday themed quilts to hang throughout the year. I love your quilt!
