I saw the bunny on the far left at Marshall's, but I wasn't willing to pay $16 for it. After trips to Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Joann with no luck in finding one of those cardboard shapes to decorate, I went to my old favorite, the thrift store to find the ceramic bunny in the middle picture.
I pulled some pages out of a Dollar Store dictionary, and covered the whole thing with Modge Podged paper. I think I now like my version better! And, it cost $1.50! Who knew you could decoupage on ceramic?
My friend Kathy introduced me to the Spark the Event Online classes by Margie Romney-Aslett. LOVE THEM! I took the Spark Your Spring 2012 class this weekend and it inspired me to finally make the paper flowers I've had on my mind forever.
The Spark classes are so much fun. Margie uses lots of Dollar Store items, and encourages you to use what you have on hand. All of the stuff for the above project came from my existing craft supplies! I love how it turned out, even the "junk bow" that she teaches.
I've already signed up for Spark Your Spring 2013, which starts March 11. If you sign up by 3/4, it's only $19.99. So worth it!
